Streaming for Organizations

Public Performance Rights
A streaming license for schools, institutions, and businesses includes limited public performance rights that extend to all school faculty, students, administrators, employees and contractors of the licensed organization.  Also extend to others who are viewing the videos/courses at the physical location of the school, institution or business. Does not extend to anyone who is charged admission to view the video.

Building-Level Licenses
One license is required for each location, building-level or campus; multiple buildings within the same zip/post code are considered a campus.  Multiple buildings across zip/post codes require multiple licenses.  Distance learners viewing is allowed as a part of the license associated with the on-site instructor, trainer or course supervisor.

Option: Managed Streaming or Stream-It-Yourself
Managed streaming is a full-service option where you license the video and click on the Play Video link on the RMI Media website.  It is easy and fast.  All managed streaming uses Microsoft’s new Smooth Streaming technology; end user computer requires Microsoft Silverlight installed; compatible with PCs and Macintosh computers. 

Stream-It-Yourself streaming is a lower cost option, with all streaming performed by the licensee.  The licensee purchases a DVD, encodes the video to its own standards, and streams the video from its own video streaming servers.  And, the licensee must provide sufficient protection so that the videos are not available to non-licensed or ineligible users, such as access only through a private network.

Custom Clips
Clips are available for all streaming titles using the managed service! Create the clip with your start time and duration. Include in your PowerPoint or any browser based learning management tool. You only need to be licensed for the title to entitle you to as many different clips as you might need!

Pricing
Managed streaming is priced at 175% of the DVD price for a one year license or 400% of the DVD price for a three year license. 

Stream-It-Yourself streaming is priced at 100% of the DVD price for a one year term or 250% of the DVD price for a three year term.  Additionally, one must purchase a DVD license to obtain the digital material; this is waived if a previous DVD or VHS license has been obtained. 

In all cases, renewal from term to term is automatic unless RMI Media is notified via e-mail, fax or mail that the license should not be renewed.

The Personal Use License
